    Our Story

The almost four decades of artist Philippa Crampton’s life have taken her from Sydney, Australia to the New York art scene to contemporary Los Angeles, in a career in which she has continuously innovated and re-investigated her style, delving deeper into the meaning of nature and its connection to humanity.

Well-known for her flowing organic shapes, her art encompasses an astonishing variety of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, film, photography and interiors. It ranges from works on paper featuring intense linear imagery, to soft sculpture as hand knotted rugs to her Sobhat paintings, made up of everyday settings that are developed using carefully repeated layers of paint.

Philippa fell in love with the people of Nepal and the entire process of drawing and making hand knotted rugs with her Nepalese artisans. She is committed to conveying the connection between nature and humanity.

    OUR PHILOSOPHY

Philippa's philosophy is informed by a deep exploration of the inner being and its connection to nature. By embracing the natural flow of her hand within her natural surrounds she impacts her audience's experience of life through the experimentation of shape, form and texture.
